Computer Science (CS) focuses on the theoretical foundation of computing along with state-of-the-art development of computing solutions. CS students learn how to design, develop and test algorithms, software, develop effective solutions to computing problems in various social, economic and organizational domains.
CS deals with information and computation. Its approach to computation and associated applications is regarded to be practical and scientific. The discipline is considered by many to be a foundational science – one which makes other knowledge and achievements a reality. The study of computer science involves the systematic study of algorithms in order to acquire, represent, process, store, communicate and access information from a wide variety of sources.
